Ducie Atoll
Ducie Atoll is a remote, uninhabited coral atoll located in the South Pacific Ocean and part of the Pitcairn Islands, a British Overseas Territory. It is considered the southernmost coral atoll in the world and consists of four small islands surrounding a central lagoon. Its low-lying coral formations, clear waters and exceptional marine biodiversity make it an important natural ecosystem. Ducie is particularly known for its extensive coral reefs and large seabird populations, including an internationally significant breeding population of Murphy's petrels.
